Lonnie Wheatley, NIXA, Mo. (May 3, 2019) – Kyle Bellm and the Nixa, Missouri-based No. 14k Sprint Car team return to action with Saturday night’s ASCS Warrior Region card at Wheatland, Missouri’s Lucas Oil Speedway.
It’s a return to the “Diamond of Dirt Tracks” that Bellm looks forward to.
“We’ve been up and down at Lucas Oil Speedway, but I think it’s a good chance for us to get our season turned around,” Bellm commented.
Bellm has enjoyed several strong runs at Lucas Oil Speedway including a runner-up finish during the 2016 edition of ASCS Speedweek and then a fifth-place showing during the opening leg of last September’s Hockett-McMillin Memorial event.
Inclement weather has limited Bellm and company to just four starts thus far in 2019 with a top-ten run in his most recent outing at Lake Ozark Speedway signaling a turnaround from some rough luck in the initial events of the season. Friday’s original plans of ASCS Sooner Region competition at Meeker, Oklahoma’s Red Dirt Raceway also fell victim to Mother Nature.
“We should have already had a dozen or so nights in by now, I just hope we can get at least one in this weekend and make the most of it,” Bellm explains.
