Lonnie Wheatley, NIXA, Mo. (August 25, 2018) – Kyle Bellm and the Nixa, Missouri-based No. 14k Sprint Car team fire back into action with Saturday night’s ASCS Warrior vs. Red River Region event at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, KS.
After getting rained out last Sunday at Sedalia’s Missouri State Fair Speedway, Saturday night’s outing at Topeka will mark Bellm’s first on-track action since racing to victory lane at Lake Ozark Speedway on Saturday, July 28.
“We’re looking forward to getting back on track and hopefully we can put up another win,” the driver of the Greenworks Nursery/Landscapes Awarded Sprint Car commented.
The July 28 win at Lake Ozark was the third of the season for the Christian County Collision Repair/Bybee Lawn Care team after picking up previous victories at California, Missouri’s Double X Speedway on June 17 and July 1.
Those three victories are among 11 overall top-fives in just 24 starts for the PPG Automotive Finishes/Colorvision entry.
Despite missing several events, Bellm enters Saturday’s card at Heartland Motorsports Park sitting fourth in ASCS Warrior Region points aboard the VP Racing Fuels/Schure Built Suspensions/Schaeffers Racing Oil machine.
“I think we can at least get to third even though we missed some races early in the year, it’s just fun to get to some different tracks along with the way to keep things interesting,” Bellm commented.
2018 Quick Stats: 24 races, 3 wins, 11 top-fives, 14 top-tens.
