Lonnie Wheatley, NIXA, Mo. (May 29, 2020) – After racing to a runner-up finish at Farmington, Missouri’s St. Francois County Raceway last Saturday, Kyle Bellm takes on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series at Eldon, Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway this weekend.
The weekend entails two full nights of competition on Friday and Saturday.
It follows a strong outing at St. Francois County Raceway last weekend where Bellm won his heat and led much of the way in the feature before finishing second when the checkered flag flew.
“We were fast all night and really should have won,” Bellm says. “They did double-file restarts and I just got moved out of the way on the last restart, I’ll know better next time.”
It was Bellm’s best finish yet in 410-ci competition.
“The car felt good all night, it’s good to know that our 410 is running well,” Bellm says. “We’re obviously stepping up in competition this weekend, but it’s at a track that we usually do pretty well at so we’re looking to make some good laps and put in the show both nights.”
Bellm made his first career World of Outlaws Sprint Car feature start at Lake Ozark Speedway to wrap up his 2019 season last October.
Bellm took in last Sunday’s ASCS Regional event at Lake Ozark Speedway only to get collected by a spinning car in his heat race that brought an early end to the night.
The Kyle Bellm Racing efforts are made possible with support from marketing partners including Greenworks Nursery, Landscapes Awarded, Christian County Collision Repair, Bybee Lawn Care, PPG Automotive Finishes, Colorvision, Schure Built Suspensions, Schaeffers Racing Oil and Valley Park West Retirement Living.
